The free Jext® app is especially designed to support patients using Jext® at all times with useful on-the-go features.

The Jext® app has been developed and funded by ALK and is intended for patients who have been prescribed a Jext® pre-filled pen.

“In an emergency” guide
  • Step-by-step audio and visual instructions for administering Jext® in an emergency.
  • The app provides a GPS location service and prompts the patient to call 999 in the UK or 112 in Ireland.
Demonstration videos

Patients can watch Jext® demonstration videos, including  ‘How to use’, to help familiarise themselves, family and friends on what to do in the event of an anaphylactic reaction.

Expiry alert service

Patients can register with the ALK Expiry Alert Reminder Service to receive free notifications when their Jext® is due to expire.

They will be notified:

  • 4 weeks prior to the expiration of Jext®.
  • 2 weeks prior to the expiration of Jext®.
  • The day after the expiration of Jext®.
Help on holiday
  • The Jext® app provides phrase sheets to assist patients during foreign travels.
  • This contains translations for useful phrases relating to food allergies.
  • Patients can also access a travel certificate here.

  • Patients can create their own custom wallpaper for their device lock screen from the app.
  • It lists important information about their allergy, their emergency contact and the location of their Jext®.
