Does your patient get the support they need beyond your practice? Encourage them to download this emergency response Action Plan in their preferred language and the preferred language of the people responsible for their welfare, to ensure they are prepared in an emergency.
Jext® is easy to use and it is broken down into 5 main steps.

Flying with Jext®? To avoid possible restrictions on your medication, both in flight and while crossing any borders, download this certification and ask your GP to sign it before you go.
Your Jext® has an expiry date. You can register with the free ALK Expiry Alert Reminder Service to receive alerts warning you when your Jext® is due to expire and needs to be replaced by your GP.
We will send through free notifications by SMS, email, or both, notifying you when your Jext® is due to expire.
Jext® Trainer
Practise makes perfect – regularly remind yourself how to use Jext® by using the Jext® Trainer.
The Jext® trainer is exactly the same as the ‘real’ Jext® except for 3 things – it doesn’t contain any adrenaline; it uses a plastic rod rather than a needle and it can be used repeatedly. It works in exactly the same way as a ‘real’ Jext®, so it is an excellent way of teaching yourself and others how to use Jext®.
Ideally, practise giving yourself Jext® using your trainer, whilst you are following the ‘How to Use’ steps, or whilst watching the demonstration video.
Don’t forget to register your real Jext® for an expiry alert. Make sure you fill in the Expiry Alert form, to receive warnings when your Jext® is due to expire.
